Tom was one of my best friends during High School and we stayed friends during college. When college was over we went our separate ways until the 50th reunion. I reached out to Tom, Owen Parry and Jim Marshall and we all got together for the reunion. It was like the years had melted away and we had a great time reliving the past. My wife had not met them before this and she loved the entire weekend. Owen passed away within 8 mos and Jim went back to the UK. Carol and I got together with Tom a couple of times when we were in Florida, but we hadn't been in touch recently. He was a great guy and a character, as well. I have great memories and the stories he could tell about his trips to Cuba--if you didn't know him you would swear it never happened--if you knew him you knew they were real. I will miss him. Fair winds and following seas, my friend!
So sorry to hear of Tom Corcoran's passing. He was such a funny guy. I must admit that I do have to go to my Gristmill occasionally to refresh my aging brain - but not in Tom's case. You just knew you were going to laugh if he was around. Regrets to his family. Amy Goldsmith Sustin

Last Friday night, I read on Facebook from a mutual friend that Tom Corcoran had passed away. I let Ken Heyges know right away that Tom had succumbed to cancer. I have since learned that Tom had struggled with cancer for several years. I am still in shock because Tim was bigger than life to me! After attending Miami University with Tom and dating one of his fraternity brothers, we reconnected in Florida from 2009 until 2016 when Tom who lived in Lakeland, Florida, came to West Palm Beach (WPB) multiple times to visit me after I attended one of his Book Signings for his popular Mystery Thrillers set in the Florida Keys. During that time, Tom also teamed up with John Frinzi, and they produced some fabulous songs that I still listen to on CD's. This was a natural for Tom because he had a very close friendship and business relationship with Jimmy Buffet for many years in Key West. The last time I saw Tom was in 2016 when he came to WPB o visit with Gwen Worthington (Glaseman) and me. It was a fantastic visit and Tom looked as handsome as ever! . If you would like to read more about Tom, you can check out Lakeland's local newspaper, The Ledger. Tom became a widower as a young man and raised their only son by himself. I don't know what kind of cancer Tom had but he chose not to have an Ibituary or Funeral. RIP Tom. You were a jdelight to so many people!!
