Stan's brother, Rob wrote us regarding Stan's passing in 1977. Stan's sister, Margo Kann Schulz (Shaker '60) and her husband Isaac are Shaker residents.
Stan and I sat next to each other in Dr. Deutsche's third year German class. We used to crack each other up by composing wildy hysterical, utterly irreverent "exams" on German language and literature. I still remember some of the insane questions we came up with. Thankfully, Dr. Deutsch never caught us as we merrily lampooned die Deutsche Sprache und heilige Deutsche Kunst. Those were rough years. I didn't do much laughing back then, and I fondly remember Stan and the intellectual goofiness we shared.
